After years of service by Transbay, we are transitioning to a new stream from a group called Freeteam in the Netherlands. The can be found on the web at www.freeteam.nl. Please update your listening program to connect to this link instead of the transbay stream. Apparently all of our wonderful listeners were using up too much bandwidth and we were priced out of transbay. Thank you so much for listening, we love hearing that you are out there!! 3. Legal Update, Waiting, waiting, and more waiting: So our fabulous team of lawyers, Mark Vermeulen, Peter Franck, Alan Korn, and Kate Alfieri, have completed and submitted our argument to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. We received an extensive response from the US Attorney, and we submitted yet another rebuttal. Now we wait. And wait.
Strangely, the most expensive part of this whole process was the copying fees, which due to their elaborate nature can run into the 1000’s of dollars. Thanks to all those who have donated to our Legal Defense Fund, without all of you, we would not have been able to submit our plea. If you haven’t yet had a chance to donate and still would like to, the donations are still tax deductible if you write the check to Media Alliance with “SFLR Legal Defense Fund” written in the memo field. 4. Coming Soon: Our New Website: At the same time that we were informed that our streaming would cost too much for us, the server where our website lived went down and was no longer accessible by our tech person! Alas, our backup website was similarly missing! After some scrambling, we were able to save the information from the old website and put up a very bare bones site that will be there until we can unveil our updated new site that we are in the midst of creating!!
